Business Development (Sales)
Apparel brands are based not only in Tokyo but throughout Japan. Our sales team travels nationwide, from Kansai and Shikoku to Chugoku and Kyushu, as well as overseas, presenting and supplying our fabrics to a diverse range of apparel companies.
Beyond client meetings, the role encompasses market research, close coordination with dyeing and finishing partners, and the careful arrangement of yarn sourcing. Each responsibility is approached with a deep understanding of both creativity and production.
Twice a year, we showcase our latest developments at textile exhibitions in Tokyo, introducing new collections to the market. By thoughtfully reflecting on client feedback and insights, our team collaborates closely with the factory to refine ideas and advance new textile creation.
Through this integrated approach, we strive to deliver proposals that combine technical excellence, responsiveness, and lasting value.
Sales Format Overview
1
Standard Item
Our Standard Items are essential, versatile fabrics designed for everyday usability and lasting appeal.
To respond quickly to a wide range of needs, we offer a rich color palette and keep fabrics in stock so samples can be shipped at any time. Even our core materials continue to evolve through subtle refinements and occasional new developments, allowing us to present proposals that stay aligned with current trends.
This commitment ensures dependable quality while maintaining a sense of craftsmanship and contemporary relevance.
2
Original Item
In addition to our core fabrics, we also offer newly planned and developed textiles.
Insights gained through market research inspire original concepts and forward-looking proposals that anticipate upcoming trends. Newly developed fabrics are primarily unveiled at our biannual exhibitions in Tokyo, creating opportunities for new partnerships and business discussions.
3
By Order
Our By Order service provides made-to-order production tailored to each client’s specific needs.
Beyond selecting from existing samples, we carefully interpret the abstract ideas and creative visions shared during meetings. By bringing these concepts back to our team, reviewing an extensive range of materials, and engaging in detailed consultations, we refine and propose fabrics that more precisely embody the client’s intended image.
Technical Division
We are one of the few companies in Japan recognized as a hand needle knitting specialist.
Our technicians plan and engineer textile structures, producing samples and production fabrics in line with proposals made to apparel brands. Development is approached from two perspectives: a market-in approach that responds quickly to customer needs and trends, and a product out approach that leverages materials and manufacturing expertise.
Close communication between sales and factory teams is essential, and regular development meetings support this collaborative process.
Introduction to Our Fabric Creation
1
Yarn Product
Our company is equipped with in-house twisting machinery.
By adding or releasing twists and combining yarns with different characteristics, we create original textures through advanced twisting techniques.
The way a yarn is made dramatically influences the final fabric.
For us, true fabric creation always begins with yarn creation.
2
Textile Development
We design and develop textiles with the final product in mind.
Our craftsmen, who deeply understand yarn characteristics, combine various yarns and carefully consider knitting methods, dyeing, and finishing processes.
Working closely with our sales team and dyeing/finishing partners, we continually pursue new textile creation.
At times, we also design original patterns and produce fabrics in-house.
3
Machine Setting
For each fabric ordered, we produce the knit using adjustments based on our archive of over 20,000 accumulated setting manuals.
To ensure smooth knitting without defects, we fine-tune the machines down to the millimeter.
Machine setting is where the technician’s true skill is demonstrated.
4
Machine Operation
We oversee the knitting machines to ensure they always run flawlessly.
This includes replenishing yarn, managing finished fabric, and responding immediately to any issues to make precise adjustments.
Like dedicated caretakers of the machines, this section plays a vital role in sustaining the factory’s productivity.
5
Quality Check
Every finished fabric undergoes kentan — a meticulous inspection process.
Before shipment, each roll is carefully examined by trained eyes for flaws or stains.
Only fabrics that pass this final human inspection are approved and sent to the dyeing and finishing mills.
